The treatment is to go to the doctor and find out if that is ALL that is wrong. No treatment should be started until the doctor examines the problem and determines what sort of treatment should be done. It may be as simple as rest/heat/ice or may be as complicated as surgery. You can discuss with your doctor some of the suggestions you read here, but only your doctor is qualified to prescribe what sort of treatment your friend needs.

Your condition could be mild or severe. First and foremost do not carry anything heavy. It will aggravate the condition. Second you need a MRI scan done to evaluate the degree of herniation. The doctor will then prescribe as necessary. However do not overlook this condition. Some herniations tend to be very severe and can become fibrosed leading to paralysis of the lower extrimities (worst case scenario).

If she is in pain, take accupuncture treatment for about 10 to 15 sittings. It will get rid of her pain. Do regular exercise or yoga. Eat less sugar and no tamarind. she can use lemon or amchur or cocum but no imli at all. Do not lift heavy objects. Better if she sleeps in hard bed. She can drink Noni herbal fruit juice twice a day for about six months. It will strengthen her muscles and surrounding nerves.

There are several treatments that doctors use . They can treat you with CORTIZONE SHOTS into pre-determined areas in your back . These are sometimes called NERVE BLOCKS . Some pills are also used in treatment , such as muscle relaxors (Skelaxin) , and also anti-inflammatory type pills such as ARTHRITEC, VICOPROFIN , or DAYPRO .. Sometimes surgery is necessary
