diet coke is not good for you period. First off, it will really mess your teeth up. Second, it will make it really hard to get into shape because it deters muscle growth. I wouldn't drink it. If I were you, I would stick to water, maybe tea, and orange juice. Milk is not bad either. Just remember that water permits muscle to form, and it aids in the digestive system. Water is also the universal lubricant. Milk is great, but remember that although it has a lot of calcium and protein, it also has a lot of fat. But try and steer clear of all carbonated drinks, because they not only deter from building and shaping your body, they also ruin your stomach (can eat through the lining) they are also very bad for your teeth

my philosophy is if you're on a diet or watching what you eat and drink; you shouldnt be drinking coke. try drinking tea instead. the 8 cups of water is good though over the span of the day. if you drink sugary beverages you're going to crave other sugary and fatty foods. not that that's always bad but if you're on a diet...

diets dont work. new eating and exercise habits do work. you may not believe that but if you want longterm success it's the truth.

if you're asking the question you probably already realize the answer. there are so many other beverage choices available to you. why not try those out like juices and smoothies.

just because its "sugar free" doesnt mean the artificial sweetner is ok for you. It still breaks down similiarly, and can have adverse effects in your future. its a lot better than regular coke, but will never be as good as good ol' H2O.
