superchargers are hard on the front main caps of the block. turbos are the way to go. just see all the cars in the NMRA (National Mustang Racers Assn.) running turbos.

first of all people superchargers are not considered a bolt on...bolt ons are easy mods that ca be done simply like most exhaust work, throttle body/ plenum, maf's, pulleys, high performance air filter, and some suspension work such as control arms.....with 1500.00 dollars you could buy a cheap blower and install yourself but then you will need you should get a tune as well but those cheap blower gets are not worth and offer to little power my advice do 1 of these 2 options
1. save a little more for a nicer supercharger setup that offers more boost
2. swap out your stock gears for 4.10's this will REALLY wake your car up, it will get you into the powerband alot faster your acceleration will be WAYYYY better than it was before you could the parts and have them installed all for around $400.00 dollars and then spend about 500.00 dollars and get a nitrous set-up if you get it tuned you could handle atleast a 100 shot if the motor is healthy, you can buy used kits for even cheaper but def get a tune
or also option 3. save a little more and get a kenne bell supercharger kit you will have great low end torque which will last all the way till the upper rpms and great power all the way up as well only downside is the kenne bell twin screw blowers are more expensive than others but really worth it, trust me!! i have one on my cobra check them out at www.kennebell.net

Heads and an intake, but just upgrading the intake, throttle body, MAF and injectors (not to mention the computer mods) would run you about 1500. GT40 heads are good for around 15-30 hp and they only run about 300 bucks. Search Ebay for them.

Save yourself some more money and go for a good supercharger. I saved up and bought a paxton 2000.They go up to 29lbs of boost.the cheaper superchargers go about half the boost. Its not worth it.SUPERCharger is the way to go.your engine can handle it if tuned right.

Absolutely go for the bolt on supercharger...will increase HP by almost 50%...but make sure the tranny can handle it.
