I just bought a new Toyota Avalon. I would start with an offer of at least 15-18% less than sticker and work from there.

Below is the closest car I could find to your MSRP.

Year 2007 Make TOYOTA
Model YARIS 1452C Model Code* 1452C
Color MAROON Color Code 03R3
Body CAR4 Trim Color FD40
MSRP 17730.00 Cost 16453.00 Holdback 283.00

$1277 Markup before holdback. Dealer will not negotiate holdback.

Hot, hard to find model... May not be able to negotiate.

In SLC, you will not get a discount because availiblity is so low. It may be the same where you live. Try several dealers before you buy. Production will stay somewhat limited, so waiting may not help.

Not sure where you are... but if in LA area, go to Longo Toyota.

all you can do is talk with the salesman ,and see what his bottom dollar is,there's no way any of us can predict what a dealer might do,he might be in a good mood that day,and knock a few grand off the price of one,you cant never tell about what they might do,just go in with your thinking cap on,and try to get them down as low as you can,the better you are at out smarting them the better of a deal you,ll get on it,good luck,i hope this help,s.

try 15, 900 usually car dealerships make several grand per car so u can usualy knock about 2 or 3 off on a car between 15 and 20k. also ask them a whole bunch of questions, like why shouldnt i buy that cheaper car over there, and just test drive it like twice and be like ill give u 15,900 for it, but throw in one of those fancy cigars and i want one of u to drive one of my cars back to my house. they jump through firey loops to sell a car, u an really get ur foot up their ass
