he always used manual so he was kind of taken aback at the power of the brush. I caught him sneaking back and using the manual one. He only uses the electric one after keeping it off the charger so that some of the power is rundown. It cost a decent penny, how can i get him to use it exclusively?

If he doesn't like using it, I wouldn't make him ... The same thing happened to me actually. My fiancee bought me one (because I wanted it!) but I ended up not liking it. It just wasn't for me, and I switched back to a manual.

As for the Sonicare, my sweetie uses it exclusively and it has worked out perfect for the both of us :)

studies show that the manual toothbrush is just as effective as the electric one. the advantage to the sonicare is that it shows how long you should spend brushing each section of your mouth.

a toothbrush, as well as a few other items, are personal and should only be bought by the individual that will use them.
it was a nice gesture on your part, but he seems to prefer the old fashion way as is his choice. as a loving wife, you can't force
him to change his life-long habits (at least he brushes) anymore than he can change yours.

Steal his manual ones, after he gets used to the sonicare one he will probably enjoy it.
