I am about 16 and i like to exercise for about 1 hour per day with jogging for 30 mins and do normal streching exercise for another 30 mins. Does that help in my growth or does that stunt my growth? Because i heard that exercise too vigorously might stunt your growth.. By the way, how it means by exercising too vigorously?

Exercise like weight lifting and running though kills the calories and makes you fit they also make you look rough & tough the better way to do exercise which improves the overall good health, growth and good looks with elegancy is through yoga which is the best and you can do all these in the house itself. The following are the yogic exercises:-

1. Arathamathesendrasan (reduces the folds on the side)
2. bhujangasan ( reduces the fat & creases on the back)
3. halasan ( flexes the muscles & reduces the creases)
4. dhanurasan ( flexes the muscles & reduces the creases)
5. sarvangasan ( controls the whole body to perfection)
6. mathsyasan ( increases the chest & reduces the stomach)
7. nauli kriya ( the best for stomach)
8. mayurasan ( very difficult but best for the belly )
9. bhastrika pranayanam ( breathing exercise, very best and must as this controls BP, prevent lung diseases, increases the brain power, will never get cough or cold and controls your anger and other violent emotions, brings in crimson complextion to the face etc, etc)
10. sevasan. ( This is the last exercise and this removes all the stress and strain of all the above exercises )

Do all these exercises every day in the morning before breakfast and after nature calls because both your stomach & intestines should be empty while you do this . Do it regularly for 1 month with confidence and see the magic.

no that is fine. The sort of exercise that stunts growth is generally weight work. This does put undue pressure on your growth plates which means you will not likely reach your growth potential.

If you are simply jogging daily then you should not be at risk of over exercising (which is what too vigorously means). Streching is very good for overall wellbeing and as you grow helps ensure that your muscular system keeps up with your bone growth.

You are doing the perfect mixture and dont seem to be exhibiting signs of exercise dependency. If you find yourself doing more than this then look hard at why you are doing it (anything more than this is over the top).

Perhaps more important for healthy growth is a good diet, this means not under eating and keeping up on the important areas of protein and roughage. Please overeat if you are going to do anything and do NOT cut fat out of your diet all together, fat is very important, make sure its unsaturated and dont eat junk/fast food ever.

honestly if your worried about your growth and exercising, a simple xray of your bones can tell you whether or not your still growning, i found out when i was 16 that i wasent growing because in a xray scan of my sprained ankle showed my bones were fused togeather,
right now sounds like your living a healthy life style,
it doesnt sound like your going out of the way to exercise to vigorously, what they mean there is not to over work your body, (like lifting weights all day, or staying on a exercise machine till it says you worked off a thousand calories.) eat enough healthy calories to were your not burning muscle, stay hydrated and get good amounts of sleep, cause thats when the body heals itself. and everything should be ok.
