Does stretching before and/or after exercise help you lose weight? I have been reading peoples' responses on here stating that.

Stretching is not going to help you lose weight. It will keep you flexible and your joints from becoming stiff, but in order to lose weight, you need to burn more Calories than you consume.

Stretching prepares your body before exercising, it loosens up your muscles and gets your blood pumping. Stretching after excersizing helps release tension in your muscles and relaxes your heart rate. The exercising and dieting is what really helps you lose. Stretching, however, is great for you all around, and you should do it anyway to relax your body and keep yourself flexible.
