During a regular week, how much of your social and community life is spent primarily with people whose beliefs are similar to your own?

How much with people who believe differently?

Do you wish this were different or are you satisfied with the balance?

Utterly irrelevant.

The people I spend time with don't even know what I believe.

I wish I had a few homeys to talk religion and philosophy with. Maybe that's why I spend so much time here.

Just for relaxing I would rather spend time with people who I know believe like myself. Through the week you encounter all types of people. I really don't know how a lot of acquaintances believe. Many times if people find out that I am Christian (NOT me trying to convert them) and they are not, they either lapse into a stereotype or become very belligerent. They usually ask either "So you think I'm going to hell do you?" or "If there is a God why did such and such happen?". Usually it is downhill from there because they don't seem too interested in letting me answer the question.

I think anyone would agree its better to be where you and your views are accepted but that is not how the world is right now.

Well, I spend almost all of my time with people whose beliefs are similar to my own. That is, excluding time spent picking up groceries and other errands like that.

To me, it seems like a great thing to have a supportive, growing community, and as long as I'm living my life in response to God, then I think my balance is okay.

However, God intends different people to live with different balances. Some people may be content with spending 90% of their time with "non-believers," and I think that God will still use this person.

I do not socialize with theists. I used to try to, but have been burned by them too many times (pardon the pun). I see them at work and school, but I never befriend them. I have two atheist kids and a few atheist friends, and a couple of agnostic friends. I sometimes wish that I had more atheist friends, but until I have the money to get to some rallies and stuff, I'll have to be satisfied with things the way they are. Even one good friend is nice to have, so I am fortunate as it is.

Czechoslovakia replaced into an extremely non secular united states of america as evidenced via most of the attractive church homes. they have a protracted checklist of saints and holy human beings. whilst the rustic fell under the Iron Curtain after WW2, the Communist government went on a approach of removing non secular prepare/worship from every day life; area of the Communist time table is that the State will grant each and everything for you and that God does no longer exist. The inhabitants of Czechoslovakia abandoned their "faith", customs and faith particularly rather interior the face of the Communist social gathering. on the subject of homo's..consistent with probability in Prague and Brno it would be extra ideal, yet I assure you there are various previous formed heads in Czechia who do no longer seem kindly on Adam and Steve.

absolutely NONE.
I spend more religious time ON yahoo Q&A than i do talking to people who disagree or people who do agree with me.
I spent 15 years studying theology and the scriptures, i spent the next 10 years working without a social life and i spent the last year doing nothing but working part time.
I tried to socialize and to be active in my church, but most churches have shown their disagreement with what i teach. And who is left, but family and enemies who try to destroy my life and my mind, who have made my life unbearable to socialize at all anymore.
I cant even go shopping anymore without Predators Seeking to hunt me like Prey. I was so well known in seattle that even a 5 year old girl poisoned me with her mothers METH like poison.

i follow a faith that has only a few thousand followers. in my town, i've only met three others, and these were all in passing.
therefore, i would have to say that the majority of my time is spent around people of a different faith. which i'm fine with, because i enjoy learning about other faiths.
in case you're wondering, i follow heathenry, also known as asatru.

About 50/50 My parish work is only about half of what I do - I interact with my wife's business and other friends - many of them are not of my faith. I like the balance quite a bit.

I don't spend much, I hang out with different types of people. I couldn't just talk to my football friends or just my goth friends or just my smart friends.

A balance is only a balance when the person experiencing it fells that it is.

My balance is different than other people's balances, which is why I have different typed of people to hang out with.
