I couldn't think, I couldn't focus, i could kinda control surface thoughts, and I forced myself to get up and take a Nyquil, about 15 minutes later, i felt fine, and went to sleep. Is this a normal cold/flu symptom? Is something wrong with me?

I don't think it's quite as serious as you're making it out, it's more like booby girl said, i just have a bunch of thoughts running through my head etc.

This actually happens to me all the time...so if you are crazy you aren't the only one. When I'm sick i wake up around 3 in the morning and get all crabby. All these thoughts just run through my mind. I have found the best way to get rid of it is to take a shower or just wait it out. Also, turning on your fan helps for me.

It sounds like you may be having panic attacks. You need to see a physician and tell him or her this. I've had these attacks and everything seemed surreal, in middle of winter I'd have to go outdoors right out of bed so try and make sense of things. Nothing seemed real. There is medicine that works well with this or whatever else that is going on with you. I would think it's definitely a problem you need help with.

It Might be viral..I'd go to the DR. Nyquil is good but if it's a viral it will have to run it's course. I'd be concerned with the thought control, or rather lack there of.

When you get sick your body doesn't function as well as it does when you are not sick. You should be fine, but if you feel like it is a serious problem you can always go to a doctor to make sure.

See a doctor and tell him everything, including the surface thoughts.

Sounds interesting to me. Worth checking out...

No clues w/o a check out though, maybe some tests at lab....

Sounds like you're wearing yourself out. Take a look at your diet and sleep habits...if after changing that you're still getting sick....go see the doc
