my ex boyfriend of 4 years just told me he still has feelings for me and cares about me. when i asked him feelings or love? he repeated feelings, so i guess its not love after all? =( he also said he can't keep dwelling? what did he mean, i didn't ask him anything like that all i wanted to know was what he felt cause he keeps on contacting me. He doesn't want to admit it if he still loves you. He wants to know if you're interested in him at all and that's why he keeps on contacting you but he's telling you he can't keep dwelling on it if nothing is gonna go anywhere. He wants you to tell him one way or another without even asking. He wants you to read between the lines.

You are reading too much into it. Let it go.
Feeling is just that, you care, but not enough to love or to die for someone. You can care about a stranger or someone that you are related too, but you don't have to love them.
You can care enough about a stranger, say if you see someone almost got run by a car, you would scream to stop the incident, and get their attention, doesn't mean you love them.
He's playing game. It's not love. It is a mind game. He wants for you to read into it, and you felt for it. You read into it, much more than you needed to.
Let him go altogether. Don't take his calls for a few months until you are in another relationship.......deep in another relationship, so that you would not care about the difference of the meanings of "feeling" and "love" from him to you.

It sounds like he still likes you but is not in love with you. I would like to ask why do you still talk to your ex? He might just want you to see if you can rekindle the feelings and go through the same thing you did when you were together.

It has something to do within himself, he feels regret, yet he is torn with the reality that he still cares about you, but doesn't love you. In his own way, it is a compliment, but its very safe to say, if you are looking for a lasting relationship look the other way. Take care Heather

Just try to remember that you broke up for a reason. Before you go analyzing what it means you have ot think do you really want to know? Have you moved on with your life since him? Do you want to go back to what you had before? If you have moved on my advice is to keep moving.

i think he means that he still has feelings for you but he can't keep holding on to you so he wants to move on? wow i really don't know.. that boy is confusing! hah. he really doesn't know what he wants and i don't think he's ready to get in a relationship with you, or any other girl for that matter.
