The child support division of the District Attorney does not bargain the deeds of homes for child support owed. If he gets half the home and still doesn't pay, they can put a lein on his property, but that's a whole different Oprah.

He is morally and legally obligated to help take care of you until you reach 18. Now that he's out of the home, this will mostly take the form of child support. Do not short yourself or your mother by letting him off the hook so easily. Stand up for yourselves and demand what is right. Be strong - you are worth it!
