We didn't "invaded" Iraq. Choose your words so that they don't present a bias, much less a lie.

Probably as the UN has already stated it was illegal, and is illegal, under the Security Counsel resolutions!
Countries aren't allowed to attack each other, unless they are attacked and that was no claim made by Bush in 2003. There were no terrorist in Iraq, nor did they have anything to do with 9/11! (Where is Osama bin Laden?)! Those on the aircraft's were from Saudi, but we did not attack them!
I think the War Powers Act will be rewritten and a president won't have any power to unilaterally attack a country like Bush did Iraq! Defending ourselves, IF ATTACKED (and that doesn't mean the Pentagon (Which I question) and the trades). FDR had enough time to get a declaration of War even after Pearl Harbor!
The US will not be tried before the UN, but Bush and many of his cronies are going to be tried before the World Court whether he like it or not! Charges are already pending, and if you don't think Bush is worried about that read Military Commissions Act of 2006 . It goes a lot farther than effecting just habeas corpus! It tries to give Bush an out for violating the Geneva Conventions and torture, however, I doubt this Act would be constitutional as it puts Bush above the law, and not even answerable to the Supreme Court!

No, because it wasn't. The US acted in accordance with 56 UN resolutions authorizing the use of force in Iraq. When push came to shove, they didn't have the resolve to enforce their own resolutions. Our nation sent the invation to a legal vote by Congress. Hillary even commented that the intelligence they voted on was nothing new. That it was the very same intelligence that was well knnown to the Clintons when in office. Remember all the bombs Clinton dropped on Iraq? It was no illegal, so it won't be declared illegal. Just unpopular NOW, but not then.

We were living quite peaceful
Kind of minding our own
Not Bombing the Balkins
Or throwing a stone
We looked at our towers
With pride in our glance
They stood so majestic
While we gave peace a chance
Then out of the blue sky
A plane it did come
And shot like an arrow
Towards tower one
We watched it in horror
A terrified trance
What evil would do this
While we gave peace chance
Now all we are saying
Is give War a chance
Hand out the ammo
Let the Army advance
They haven’t attacked here
Since we’ve taken that stance
Peace didn’t work, SO
Lets give War a chance
Then o’er above Penzy
A phone call got through
And the man who received it
Knew just what to do
He heard of the towers
Of the terror advance
Said “We’re all gonna die now
If we give peace a chance”
So they summoned their courage
And bravely they fought
For the lives of many others
For their own not a thought
And though they did perish
The plane fell like a lance
Their remembered as heroes
‘Cause they gave War a chance
Now all we are saying
Is give War a chance
Hand out the ammo
Let the Army advance
They haven’t attacked here
Since we’ve taken that stance
Peace didn’t work, SO
Lets give War a chance
Yeah, Peace didn’t work, So
Let’s give War a chance
We were attacked, therefore, or is it here to fore, pettifore, no, two and two is four, therefore we fought back they are accountable for what has happened to them.

Sure, the rest of the world knows that the invasion of Iraq is illegal. But both Russia and China prefer to keep their silence. On the contrary, they're even hoping that the U.S. will be bogged down in Iraq and Afghanistan for years to come. They might even be hoping that war with Iran will break out. They know how enormous the U.S. is spending to continue fighting the war. They know that it will hurt the American economy in the long run, and the strain it causes for the weakening of the U.S. military. While the entire world's attention is focused at the American involvement in the Middle East, both Russia and China are secretly building up their own military forces. On the outside, they continue to expand their economic influence globally. In fact, China's economic presence had markedly increased in Africa and South America, regions where the U.S. continue to be losing its grip. Russia's economic influence continue to grow in the European continent. If these state of affairs continue at the same trend in the coming years, the U.S. will find itself in grave situation. When the right moment comes, China and Russia will challenge the U.S. for the ultimate showdown. The Russian and Chinese threat are not yet apparent now, but will become increasingly noticeable in 5 to 15 years. For the time being, they are busy in their preparations while the U.S. is kept busy fighting its wars.

Who will it help? Not me, not you, not the citizens of Iraq, nor the citizens of the world. So go ahead and declare it illegal, the harm has already been done. It is like hanging a dead man, we have lost so much trying to be the big shot to the world. OK, OK it is the oil or the government corruption or the cover up. Lets face it we have become the bad guys (politically) and we will be made to stand in the corner.

You know what?I usually take the time and research my answers to these questions.I look at both sides, crosscheck my facts, and usually end up always finding that the person posing the question has not done any research at all.Kind of aggravating because it takes up my time.I do this because I am wagering a personal battle against ignorance. In your case I cannot help. The reason being that while you can occasionally win a battle against ignorance, fighting stupidity is a lost cause.
THIS A FORUM FOR ASKING QUESTIONS!!!!NOT FOR POSTING YOUR OPINIONS IN THE FORM OF A QUESTION JUST SO YOU CAN FEEL INTELLIGENT!

oh common,
NEWS FLASH.... the invasion of Iraque WAS
declaired ILLEGAL prior to it onset of the whole
" campaign ".
THIS guy's reponse?
WAKE UP!
he never cared about anthing excet his own
ambitions.
even to the extents that the YEARS of being our country to ruin doesn't bother him at all.
EVEN WHEN IT WAS DECLAIRED ILLEGAL BEFORE IT STARTED.
we are close to the same position today that led germany, cuba, and stallin access to dictactorship by using the democratic goverment at those times.
BUT WHAT MORE CAN WE DO TO STOP IT WETRIED VOTING,take note of his response, HE'LL DO THING HIS WAY REGUARDLESS OF THE WELLFARE OF THE PEOPLE.
what more cam we do? think of this one, because of his leadership the citizenship of the U.S.A. has become one of the most maligned world wide. and restricted by new rewrites within the law.
try going to egypt, solmai, jeruselm or the rep. of chekilovokia.
then see how welcome we are, as a nation as a whole.
it is assumed that all citizens hold that view. " might make right?"
not really ,might combined with self rule = more than we can deal with.
there autta be a law. some law we cam stand on.
betraying the public trust?
`
WHAT DO YOU MEAN EVENTUALLY?

if it has not been declared illegal already then how will it be declared illegal later? what law has been broken? the U.S. congress (which Americans elect) has made no laws against invading iraq. the only ones allowed to have power are the ones that i give the power to. ONE MORE THING. THE WORLD DOES NOT RULE THE U.S. THE PEOPLE OF THE U.S. RULE THE U.S. REPUBLIC DEMOCRACY IS GREAT.

Ok, I get your point that you dislike everything about the war and so do I, but techinically if we say all the intelligence was true, which we can not dispute, because they make all intelligence up off of "credible sources" weather or not the imformation is indeed credible is for them to decide. So the answer to your question is no, the war was conducted with congressional approval for the war power act.

Think about why you have to ask yourself the question. If you have to ask yourself about "who will hold the US to account" you are starting out placing yourself in the place of a judge, and one with a pre-existing bias. Is that truly just?
If you are being unjust and accusing them of being unjust, then aren't you a hypocrite?
If you learn anything from life, whether you are bible-thumper who believes in God, or a teenager who knows "karma is a b*tch" you know that there is no "getting away with it". Wrongs done always come back to you.
Who are you to demand that the rights and wrongs of a nation come back to it? Can you lead by example, and take on the chin the cost of your wrongs, your karma?
People so adamant about "they are sinners and God should strike them from heaven" are often the ones who need the mirror.
Troll.
