For my summer job, I made about $2,400 before taxes. I got money taken out for social secuirty and than the regular state/gov. taxes. Will I get any money back?

Yes. The money you earned is less than the standard deduction, so you will get the federal and state income taxes refunded to you. You must file federal and state tax returns in order to get the refunds. You do not get the social security and medicare taxes back.

Go to turbotax.com and just type in your numbers. You don't have to pay unless you file it with them. You could just do that to find out what you'd get, but then you could just do it long hand.

u'll get back the fed and state that they took out and if u have any dependents u'll get back some earned income credit to..
