there are more than one ways to know if the guy is serious about you being his girl. he gives an unconditional special treatment, gives you the feeling that you are the only one in his life, starts and ends his day with you and mostly, hugs and kisses you. -mushy type
gives you something he doesnt usually give to others
shares a part of him that no one knows
always there for you
listens to most of your advice and orders.
he wants to give you space when he feels that you are not reciprocating that much; when he feels you are not in to him; when you make him think that he means nothing to you

He could just be shy, and doesnt know quite what to say and isnt sure how much you like him, or if he is not interested in you, he may not say much also. Usually you can tell by a smile, or eye contact. He he jealous of other guys? Just be yourself around him, but be honest with him, and if he doesnt come around soon, one way or another, I would move on!
