Because of men and women we are living in a free country, hundreds of thousands have gave us that right. Sir, I happen to be ex-military I'm willing at any time and die for my country to be free and the rights my country has. I don't care about anybody else but mine. The one my forefathers fought for the ones that gave us the liberties to even be having this discussion. To the men and women who stood up and raised their hands and said yes I will protect our nation. If you don't enjoy your freedoms then find somewhere else to go. Please don't ask question? Because you shouldn't have that right. Both for rest of us who respect our men and women in uniform and who have served our country. Let us enjoy our freedoms. Sir, next time you see a Disabled Vet maybe a thank you wouldn't hurt.
The rest of use will always respect each other because we are bothers and sister in arms and those of us who served are the only ones who truly understands.

Why not? The military is the reason why "we" can ask questions such as this and "we" can answer it. The men and women of our armed forces make a life decision by raising their hand to defend this country, the greatest country in the world. Not many people can say that they have done that or are willing TO do that! God Bless every single Soldier, Marine, Sailor, Airman, and Coastguardsman that put their life on the line everyday for each and everyone of of us.

Do you believe everything in a clearly biased liberal rag? You should try to get a more balanced set of facts and allegations.

I think a lot of the men and women who volunteer to put their lives on the line and act in a brave and professional manner. Their leaders are another story...

Have you ever sat with a bunch of friends drinking and told lies? Almost every young male has, its called bravado. How do you know the talk in the bar wasn't just that? I don't know either way but refuse to condemn anybody without better information than that junk news you linked too. Our system is based on innocence until proven guilty. Unfortunately, the liberal media believes we are all guilty until proven innocent. Don't those soldiers have a right to a fair trial? You are convicting them with nothing but here-say

They were captured in combat against our troops... They are Prisoners Of War. Civilians should keep their noses out of the military and let them do their jobs. Our military is an ALL Volunteer force, remember? Besides, Terrorists and Combatants have no rights, and actually be shot on sight. Corpses are easier to handle... AND it is because they VOLUNTEERED is why they should be respected, to the utmost.

Yes, I respect them very much. I am a retired soldier and know that the military personnel carry out whatever lawful order that is given to them.

"Anyone who is brave enough to hold their guts in with a pot lid can drink from my canteen any day" that line was from apocalypse now but i feel pretty much the same way... i think anyone who has seen combat diserves our respect... even if nobody agree's with the war. im not saying that we dont have to respect the others because they even done things some people will never do. its a job

Let's get down to basics... Think about when you go to sleep at night... you lay down. Enjoy the compfy mattress and warm blankets... maybe even cuddle with a loved one. Well next time you do lay down to sleep remember. thousands of miles away theres a young men and women who would lay their own blood into the ground so you and yours are safe. I think that makes them worthy of respect regardless of bad apples theres thousands and thousands of service members and they didn't set up gitmo the politicians did and they're elected by you. A soldier gives up freedom to protect yours.

The vast majority are solid professional soldiers. Our wars are unsuccessful due to the political leaders...Bush and Johnson. The original military leaders wanted to put 400k+ troops....ooops wrong answer....we only put in 140k troops.

We need new leaders not new warfighters.

Wow, are you serious?

You should have every reason to respect our Armed Forces.

For one, it is a PRISON......not supposed to be a summer-house in the Hamptons......And, uh, these are TERRORISTS......They kill innocent people for no reason. Let me get this straight....You're going to believe that the people who plot for the killing of innocent people are telling you the honest truth about what goes on at Guantanamo, much less, do you honestly think they deserve to be treated well?

NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
