President Bush has been in the White House for about six years, and now he is just starting a commitment to the environment. For a while now the President has been scrutinized by environmentalists on all of his global warming policies. President Bush this week has another environmental issue: conservation. He announced a 10-year, $1 billion commitment in taxpayer money to enhance national parks, which have limited money.

To the first poster...

Why do you think so lowly of President Bush? You cannot blame the war on Bush since Congress passed the advancement of the war. YOU are the one who voted for him (chances are). YOU did not try hard enough to get him impeached. YOU have no one to blame but yourself.

He's a lame duck. It isn't going to get him reelected because he can't run again. Perhaps he is doing it because he believes in it. I hope you aren't one of those looking for any excuse to criticize him.

Personally, I agree with his actions towards climate change so have no problem with it. I also have a lot of unkind things to say about most environmentalists as they are unrealistic and hypocritical. Their opinions about Bush are utterly unimportant.
