I get bad gas almost everytime I eat at my school dining hall. I am in college and this is the only place I can eat. Is there anything I might be eating that could cause this? Or could it be a reaction to medication I am taking?

You could be lactose intolerant; which is characterized by gas, upset stomach, diarrhea after eating/drinking lactose (found in milk products). There are medications for that as well.

Another thought: how fast do you eat? If you eat too fast or don't chew properly you can swallow a lot of air. Which of course turns into gas.

Beano, Gas X and other O-T-C products are available, but if it continues you might want to see a Dr.

If you're new to dining hall eating it could be just the change in foods or nerves. Either way try Beano.

Could be the meds or the food. Try some Gas- X and see if that doesn't help. Pay attention to what foods seem to affect you more. If there aren't than bet on the meds.
