What an exellent question!..You "atheists"can really make people like me {Christian}actually think!..How dare you sir!..lol..I'll answer the question like this..I will not kill for my God, because my God says dont!..However...There are many people who think killing for their God is good and correct, and must be done!..But if you examine the facts of what they are really doing, God has northing to do with it apart from 'lip service'!..They are really killing and slaughtering mostly innocent people, not for God!..But for their religio/political leaders!..Islam is a case in point, so is Judaism! and in some cases..Christianity!....Who do you see constantly egging the 'faithful' on to kill and kill, waving the Quoran and the Torah at them?..A bunch of men {always men}..Using God for their own political gain!..Religion is a powerful weapon, particulaly when you have people who know no better to use it on!..You can tell them anything, you can make them do anything, provided you also tell them that they will be 'rewarded' in paradise with a pile of delightful virgins when they martyr themselves for Allah/Yehwah!..Mind you, ive always wondered what sort of 'virgins' the Muslim matyrs are going to really get!..You see...Women are excluded from paradise!..The prophet said so!..Hmmmmm?.The important thing here is...Never allow the faithful to THINK..If anyone starts to think.and begins to doubt publically!..He is an 'unbeliever' an infidel who must according to the law , be stoned to death!..Its a wonderful disincentive to ever think outside the square of current religio/political thought control!..That is the Evil of men...NOT God!....
