Hi, I have this guy friend I have known for 4 years now, we hang out a lot & I hang out with his group of friends often. There is this one guy there who I have always known very casually & never thought about much as he always had a gf. Recently, he broke up with her & this one night everyone went out & the both of us really hit it off. I was really glad but a little awkward too as I didn't know him so well. The thing is, since then we have met (its been 2 months) about 5-6 times but everytime I have called him up & asked him to meet up, he's always accepted, but never initiated or called me otherwise. We have a great time when we go out & recently he met a few of my friends who liked him too. We have not told our common friend as we are still unsure...but I don t know what to even tell anyone! He has never spoken anything out loud..so are we dating? or seeing each other or what? does he just need time from his last relationship? or is he using me? should I talk to him? what do i say?

You like this guy so right? Just date him for now, Yes he dose need time from his last relationship, and your helping him more then you know, keep being there for him, have fun. I know it seems your doing all the work right now, Just think your having a good time and you have a new friend in your life. Your helping him believe me!

waiting and see would be your best and safest option. And, technically, you dont have to tell anyone anything. People have eyes, and unless they see something romantic between you two, they wont ask anything, right?
by talking to the guy, you can know if he is just using you from his last breakup or not. and that is something for you to figure out. another is from your "dates", you could have a relatively small idea of whether you guys are dating or not.
But for now, leave everything to a matter of doubt, be neutral, because motions cn effect the way you judge things

When you say...using you...are you paying for the outings? If so, I would say yes, for some freebies. But maybe you try telling him "look, I like you, in a more-than-friends way." But let him know that if he doesn't take some initiative, then you'll move on!!
