anyone knows any good night clubs or disco in hat yai?i hear thai beer is really cheap but is is it good to drink????

I'm with peanutz. There are tons of discos and pubs all around. I'm not much for dancing myself, and much more of a pub man. With that being said, Post laser disc is my favorite pub by far. Great atmosphere, decent bands, good food, and cold suds. Also it always has the doors closed and the aircon on, which is a perk for me because if it's hot and I start drinking I sweat like hog.
Club hopping is one of the few times I'll walk over the klong toey, There are quite a few good pubs over by the Palace and Merlin hotels.
There's something for everyone, whether you're into getting pawed at on a dance floor by rental girls, or if you're like me and just like to kick back and share some suds and good music with some friends, it's all there.
As far as beers, there are all kinds. Singha is a local beer and it's pretty good, as is Chang, but I'm personally more a boddingtons or tetleys kind of guy, I'll settle for newcastle if they don't have my favs. I love guinness, but guinness in SE Asia is brewed locally and tastes VERY strange to me. The bubbles are big like a regular beer, it won't get the classic guinness head on it, and it s really sweet. Bleck, made a sour face just thinking of it lol

In the city centre, which you will never miss, there is a cluster of bars and pubs. Any one should do. Just find one with an environment you like. You can get local and foreign beers there. Enjoy.
