How long would it take to get it down to a 28-29 inch waist, realistically speaking, and what kind of diet/exercise plan works with an apple body shape?

eat less and move more.

Cardio. Try walking for 5 min on a treadmill and then running for 1 min. Do this for 1 hour 4-5 times a week.

Eating less carbs - by way of white flour, sugar and potatoes will help too.

They say if u want lasting results lifestyle change is needed which means getting rid of all processed junk food and losing 2 pounds a week. Eat LOTS of fruits and veggies, increasing you daily fiber is the best way i kow to lose weight. Try walking or jogging also and if u are dehydrated ur metabolism will slow down so drink up!!!!!!!!;)
