From what I can tell, it's different for every girl. Some girls @ my school jump at the oppurtunity. We had a new guy come to our school today, and this girl I know simply said, "I think you are hot!" to him. Some girls, like me are shy. They approach it at a different way. From my own experience... They just stare at you all the time and smile. Laugh, shy away. Maybe these were the more desparate girls though.

Its hard to tell when the non-desparate girls have a crush. They aren't as obvious and can be soo subtle, that you'll never know until....

a.) she could either giggle so much when she sees you; tries to see you most part of the times; is conviniently just around the corner (most of the time); shares her ideas, thoughts
b.) she could be the indiscreet type: looking at you at the corner of her eyes; acts cooly around you; when you caught her looking at you, she will discreetly act as if she was just looking at something over you
c.) asks for skul tips; invites you to join their certain projects; asks advice from you.
technically, there are a lot of hints, but it depends on your relationship with her and her personality
