Find a place like Super Suppers in your area. They're fairly new, but they can host bridal showers for you. You all get together in this building filled with food, and all of the girls in the party help put together a bunch of pre-made dinners for the bride-to-be to take home and cook one day at a time. http://www.supersuppers.com/ I've heard it's really fun, and I know for a fact it would be helpful to her if she can't cook. Oh, I think she needs to have room in her freezer though.

I, too, would include a recipe card with the invitation and ask the guests to bring their favorite recipe to put in a nice recipe box for the bride.
However, I think 200 people at a shower is way too many! I wouldn't even go to one that big again. I went to one with 100 guests and the bride didn't even know I had been there. Is everyone she has ever known being invited? Very boring to go to one that big.

Holy cow that is an outrageously big shower for you to host! If I were you I would buy lined index cards and send them out with the invitation, Ask the guests to write a (simple) recipe and bring it to the shower. There are much prettier recipe cards, but for 200 women, that is going to bust the bank! How bad ARE the dresses??

Why dont you ask the people attending the shower to bring their fav recipe along with them to give to the bride to be as a gift....have a special recipe box to put them all in. When the shower is over you will be handing her 200 recipe cards of great meals that have been tried already! Just my two cents! ; )

Go to walmart or a discount store to find cheap cards. You also could just get make up a basket theme of cooking this is what you would need..
-receipe book(s)
-oven mitts
-pot holders
-mugs for both bride and groom
-have different flavors and samples of tea and coffee
-and have a apron and instead of getting a basket wrap the apron around the items and make it look fancy. She will love it.

200 women attending a SHOWER? You poor thing, thats huge. Are the recipe cards as favors for the guests? Or as a gift to the bride. You cna find easy recipes for the bride as a beginning cook, and print them on your pc, and tie them together in a book form .

If you havent sent out the invitations out yet. maybe you can mail out one of the recipe cards out with the invitations and have them bring it with them the day of the shower Then you can collect them and put them in a nice recipe box for her. It would be a great idea.
Good Luck and here i sone last linkhttp://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=free+recipe+card+print++&btnG=Search
