Shepard's Pie: Easy, Tasty, and Some-what Healthy

Brown 1 lb hamburger meat (or cook it in microwave, whatever's easier)
In 9x13 glass baking dish mix 1 cup of water with two packets of powdered brown gravy mix.
Throw in the cooked meat, some canned veggies (whatever your kids will eat--green beans, carrots, peas, corn are common to use)
Make some mashed potatos (boxed kind will work fine--about 6 servings.
Add a layer of cheese on the gravy/meat/veggie mix. Then top with the mashed potatos.
Cook for about 20-30 mins at 350.

A big batch of taco meat. Cook up some hamburger and add a couple envelopes of taco seasoning. Serve with warm tortillas or hard shells, a variety of cut up veggies (lettuce, tomato, onions, olives) cheese and sour cream, set everything up on the counter and let them make their own. A big pot of instant rice and you're set. You can also use cut up chicken breast instead of the burger.

Taverns are just cooked hamburger, crumbled small with ketchup, mustard, seasonings of your choice, some brown sugar, I add horseradish and Worcester sauce to mine and just keep tasting until it's the way I prefer, eat on some crusty rolls.

Steak au Poivre

Ingredients:
1 Tbs. Cracked black pepper

4 beef tenderloin steaks or 2 beef to loin steaks, cut 1 in. thick (Top Loin steaks are also called strip steaks, New York strip, or Kanasas City strip)

2 Tbs butter

1/4 cup brandy or beef broth (If using brandy acohol will cook out so don't worry)

1/4 cup beef broth (Use even if using beef broth above)

1/2 cup whipping cream (not whipped)

2 tsp Dijon mustard.

Steps:
1. Use your fingers to press the pepper onto both sides of the steaks. If using top loin steaks, cut each steak in half crosswise. In a large skillet, cook steaks in hot butter over medium heat to desired doness, turning once (and only once) For tenderloin steaks, allow 10-13 minutes for medium rare (145 degrees F) to medium (160 degrees F). For top loin steaks, allow 12-15 minutes for medium rare to medium. Transfer steaks to a serving platter, reserving the dripings in teh skillet. Keep the meat warm. Remove skillet for burner and allow to stand for 1 minute.

2. For sauce, combine brandy (or the beef broth) and beef broth (or both beef brothes if using both): carefully stir into drippings in skillet, scraping up crusty browed and delicious bits. Stir in whipping cream and mustard. Bring to boinling. Boil gently, uncovered, over medium heat for 5-6 minutes or until mixture is reduces to 1/2 cup, stirring occasionally. Spoon sause over the steaks and serve.

Start-Finish: about 30 Minutes. Yeild: 4

you can buy cheese pizza from the store and bake it
you can also add your own vegg topping and more cheese to make it taste better, you can add garlic powder and organo to the top of the pizza before you bake it.

you can cut up some veggs and steam it, and grill some pork chop/chicken/beef and call it a meal
