I'm old enough (39) to definately remember when MTV played music and good music at that. Of being 39 I can also remember the original VJ's: Martha Quinn, J.J. Jackson, Lena Blackwood, Alan Hunter and Mark Goodman. An old enough to remember seeing Video Killed The Radio Star by The Buggles beside knowing it was the fist video showed. Now MTV which stands for music television but they now show no music!?!?! Seem like all they shown now are so called reality TV shows. On a side note the person playing keyborads on VKTRS is Geoff Downes who went on join Asia.

Yeah, and they played the good stuff too, not just the crappy popular music, I mean they played that too, but they played like Anthrax videos and stuff alongside of it. I remember watching Marilyn Manson and White Zombie and other bands like that on Mtv when I was a kid and thinking " This is some hardcore shi't !". Now Mtv plays nothing but rap and crappy "reality" shows.

I remember those good ol' days - Michael Jackson's Thriller, Cyndi Lauper, Genesis, The Police, Duran Duran, Thompson Twins, and all those '80s New Wave bands - those were the days when MTV was REALLY Music Television - not anymore! Still don't know why they still even bother calling it 'Music Television' - it's not anymore - just crap on there now!

Yep! Sure do. They were the good ole days!! Then you could actually watch videos ALL day long and even at night! Wow! Now, they barely play a complete video. Walk down memory lane cause its not likely they wil go back to that. Should be changed to RTV,reality tv, LOL!

If you remember MTV playing music - do you remember this workout team? You youngsters have no clue about the 80's. Miami Vice, and SNL actually being funny!

I remember way back to when they had the Friday Night Video Fights, and for $.50 a call you could vote for your favorite video. Those certainly were the days, weren't they? And then we grew up.

No doubt! I remember Glass Tiger playing "I Will Be There" back in the mid eighties...back before the mindlessness which now pervades "Music" Television. *sniff* You've taken me right back...
