Sounds like an easy answer to the worlds problems but its not.
You cannot force people to change their priorites and spend their own money on what you want.

Sports does bring healing and peace to a lot of people. And entertainment keeps them from going crazy.

Nothing would change, because we have what we need to bring peace and almost everyone chooses to do what they want or what makes them feel good. All we need is God and the bible to guide us which everyone has access to but most ignore. And as far as healing goes it is inevitable that we will have sickness and dying due to what happened in the garden of Eden. Man will not be able to bring peace on Earth no matter how hard we work that is for God to do as it is prophesied to happen in Revelation.
