You have hit on something significant with your question. The fact is Satan was in Heaven and he did sin. The question you need to ask yourself is, what is God doing about it? The answer is, He has removed the rebels and He is through His wisdom preparing Himself a people, who although they have free will, will dwell with Him forever in Heaven free from sin or any desire to sin, because they have been redeemed out of world filled with sin and its consequences, and have no desire to do things their own way again. I for one intend to be a part of this eternal Kingdom. As for you, are you with God, or with the rebels?

Umm... you'll remember that he got cast out of Heaven. Eternally, and that's a mighty long time. Why do you think he hates us so? Because we, who are so much less- remember, Satan was the mightiest of angels- are through God's grace permitted to enter Heaven and dwell there with Him forever. We inherit the home Satan can never return to.

Your question is an assumption without basis in the Bible. What is your scriptural basis for it?
God gave the angels as well as men free will!
The following scriptures show that some angels sinned and were punished. Also, the scripture from Job quoted show God's sons, His angels, coming before him in heaven and among them Satan. Revelation shows that later Satan and his angels were thrown out of heaven.
2 Peter 2:4 Certainly if God did not hold back from punishing the angels that sinned, but, by throwing them into Tartarus,. . .
Job 1:6 "Now it came to pass on the day when the sons of God came to present themselves before Jehovah, that (1) Satan also came among them.(1) That is the Adversary ) 7And Jehovah said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered Jehovah, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 8And Jehovah said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job?

I'm going to hit u guys with something i hope that you take prayerfully, but Heaven is a CREATED place, that means it has it's purpose. As we all know GOD's throne is in heaven, however a throne IS NOT a place of residence, but a seat of authority. Since sin doesn't tarry in GOD's sight, he dealt with it right then and pride got him kicked outta heaven. However for those who fear that HEAVEN has been corrupted, John said in Revelation that he saw a new heaven and a new earth coming down.....

The bible speaks about layers of heaven Lucifer did not and will never step in the upmost heaven where my God dwells. also the heaven mentioned by the bible of which the SIN cannot surpass is the upmost heaven. It should be better for you to ask the rightful person, his name is Bro. Eli Soriano you may address him via this website: http://www.truthcaster.com and surely you'll find the absolute answer, just like what i did.

It is believed satan was the highest of all angels and the "brightest in the sky." His pride is considered a reason why he would not bow to God as all other angels did, but sought to rule heaven himself. He rebelled against God and was bannished from heaven

Lucifer sinned in starting a revolt in heaven, for that he was cast out. God has his own reasons for letting this occur, seeing as how he knew it would start from the beginning. I guess he was just weeding the flowerbed, like what will happen durring the time of judgement.
