You might want to use a pretty basic comforter since the walls are so busy. The sponge effects makes it very busy .If you use a large scale floral like the pop large flowers in the bright pink, orange, purples, and limes it would look great. You could make matching flowers from posterboard or material to hand on the wall.Or you could mix wide stripes and large flowers. Best wishes!

For complete color harmony in any space, you need 3 colors. Or 5 or 7. Always use an uneven number of colors. I would suggest using an even lighter green or whitish green to do a second sponging over the first.
The complementary color of green is red. I know, that looks like xmas.... so don't go there. I would go with white, beige, yellow or a nice deep blue. Keep in mind that white is not a color but the absence of color and black is the mixture of all colors. That is why black and white match anything. To ground all the colors together, you'll need to add touches of black but this can be done with just a few small items in the room.
For total harmony, you really should use only 3 colors: 1 dominant (your dark green), 1 medium (your light green) and the 3rd color you choose for decorative objects.
Have you tried asking your daughter what she thinks? It is her room, after all..............

I love the combo of green and hot pink! Or green and a crisp fresh white. But did you really sponge paint? It's 2007, not 1997 ;) Maybe (hopefully) it looks different than I imagine!
Back to the question, I think green is a neutral that most colors look good with. Ask your daughter what she would like! Take her shopping and let her be part of it. My daughter would LOVE to do that! You of course could guide her in the direction you want to go, but it would be a good chance to see what her innate style is!

A lavender or a pink print with shades of green would be cute. Look for florals, butterflies, stars, hearts, etc. in a little girl design.
Take the paint chip with you when you are shopping. That way, you'll know if the bedding will look nice with the greens.
Good luck.

I, personally, think that lavender, pink, and white ALL look good with green. But more than anything, I think it depends on what your daughter is into. If she likes flowers, find something that would go well with the walls in that print. If stripes, same thing.
I know that even when I was 8, I already had my own style and tastes. :)

I think a lilac would look really nice maybe a print with lilac, pinks, and yellows, like butterflies or flowers or something girly. I"ve always loved lilac and a sagey green color together. Good luck! Have fun!

I know you asked specifically for a comforter but how about a white chenille bedspread? maybe with some flowers/green leaves.

Tan, ivory, or gold/yellow would look great. for a bolder look you could go with terra cotta or brick red. depends also on what the carpet and drapery color is.
