I also have a mild social phobia. I think having one is healthy in today's world. Nobody has any honor anymore. People go around cursing everywhere even at work. If you watch any TV you will endless examples of depravity. Heck people without social phobia are not normal.

I hope that makes you feel better.

That would be called a 'confidence pill' and there is no such thing, entirely effective all on its own.

There are a few delusional remedies in the illegal drugs category. Meaning they may make you 'feel' confident while in actuality others may think you've gone spotty, weird or worse.

The cure you want may be mostly mental and spiritual.

If this is a serious problem, mount a two-pronged attack on it:

1) Discuss your problem with a friendly psychologist
2) Orient yourself spiritually*

*http://up-escalator.spaces.live.com/ might help, go back to first two blog entries, analyze your life, ask for help from upstairs....the instructions left were to "Ask and you shall receive...."

Don't expect perfection from earthlings. We are all on the road to perfection, some not yet having realized that.

If you know what to expect you might be less fearful.

However, do not be dumb and walk into the most dangerous part of town/city with a T-shirt that says "Here I am...." and a hat different in color from the local gang.

You should understand the world is not as it should be, but there is a Director of Rehabilitation and a destiny of perfection is guaranteed for each individual and for the planet, even if the road gets rocky and pitted.

Be an oasis of strength and serene composure in the midst of chaos.Your body is only temporary. The real you can only be destroyed by yourself. Others cannot harm it.

Item 2 is more likely to work and ultimately far more reliable than the psychologist. But you should talk with others. No one lives well in isolation.

None. The best way to overcome social phobia is to read: "The Feeling Good Handbook" by Dr. David Burns and do the exercises he recommends.
