here's a recipe for chicken in cream of mushroom soup:
Ingredients :
1 pt sour cream
1 can Cream of mushroom soup (I use Campbell's)
Chicken pieces (I prefer chicken thighs, but anything'll work)
Method :
Brown the chicken in oil over medium heat; I usually let it cook until all the pinkness is gone, usually 15 minutes to 1/2 hour, turning it every 5 minutes or so. Drain out as much of the oil as possible.
Add the sour cream and soup, mixing it so that it's blended together and covers the chicken. Lower the heat and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes; the sauce will thicken a bit, but probably not much. Stir occasionally.
I usually cook some pasta (rotini works well) and stir it into the sauce with the chicken when I'm ready to serve it. To reheat, just add a little bit of milk to the sauce and nuke for maybe 3 minutes.
This might not sound like an exciting dish, but even though I normally hate sour cream, I think this is a wonderful meal. I also sometimes slice up fresh mushrooms, saute them in butter, and add them to the sauce near the end of the cooking time. I'm sure if you're creative, there are other things you could add, too. As for the chicken, I usually cook 4-6 pieces and save the left-over for lunch or dinner the next day.

Tuna Casserole
1 Large can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 12 to 16 oz bag noodles
2 or 3 cans of tuna
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup of milk or so
salt and pepper to taste
Boil noodles....drain
Then add all the rest of ingrediants....
easy!
Here is one my whole family loves and is so easy!
Swiss Steak (This is for my family of 6)
Round steak (2 family packs)
Cream of mush soup 2 big cans
salt and pepper to taste
water about 3/4 of 1 can
Put the soup and water in a roaster. (I use a roaster because it boiles up and will overflow in a cake pan size pan)
Stir it up with a wisk.
Cut the steak up into serving size pieces. (You can even start this with frozen meat, doesn't take much longer to cook.)
Then add the meat and salt and pepper.
Cook at 350 for a couple of hours, then turn down to 325 for a couple more hours.
This is a very tender meat. It is also execllent to make a manhatten out of. All of the soup turns into a gravy. Then you put a piece of bread on a plate, put meat on that, then another piece of bread, then put gravy over this. I always have mashed potatos with this. It's really good. And so simple. People will really think you've done alot with this and they will never know!

Make believe you are from the South (because if you really were, you would never have to ask this question!) and use it any time you need to add some creaminess to something, add some moisture, or bind things together. Here are some ways I use the stuff. 1. Crockpot roast - put it on top of the roast (or whatever meat you have in the crockpot) and when done, you've got a tasty gravy 2. Mix with a package of cornbread stuffing mix, some shredded cheese, some cubed zucchini or yellow squash, some diced onion. Bake for a great squash casserole. 3. Add to your basic meatloaf recipe. 4. ranebo10 has the right idea for making anything you want with the proper proportions of ingredients.
