Statistically speaking,yes I would.We know a good thing when we see it.

statistically yes I do beleive that there are more women that HAVE cats.
I know a few men that love their cats too though.
there are too many things to consider too.
women are known to be multi taskers and wouldnt have time to devote to a dog. Maybe also the cats are filling a void.( no children)
Men are said to excersice more than women .. a dog would be perfect. they have one job maybe two and still have time to devote to walking a dog.
its all a matter of taste. also a combination of neighborhood and
yourlife style.
someone in an appartment in harlem wont get a cat.
someone in a loft or appartment in the city a cat is perfect.
for a male or female.
just dont get a poodle... men look ridiculous with one.lol

I've actually read that cats prefer women because of their higher pitched voices. The same book said women prefer cats because their mannerisms are similar to those of a baby. Cats cuddle and snuggle and they only reach a learning level of that of a 2-year-old toddler. So yes I believe women prefer cats more than men.

I think it used to be that way, but more and more men seem to be into cats lately. Maybe I see it that way as I live in NY and it's easier in the city for people to have cats rather than dogs.

Since I am the only female in a house full of men who love cats, I'd say in my house it's 3 males to 1 female who love cats. Perhaps you could go to the survey portion of Yahoo Questions and do a survey of male and females who love cats.

Yep - I'd say so. Women don't seem to mind that a cat has their own way to them. Men are more dominating and would rather have an animal that they can control. Cats own their humans and humans own their dogs...

I've always been a cat person, but it is pretty evenly divided between the sexes in my group of friends... with more females actually having dogs. But that is just this group.. back in the states, more of my female friends had cats. I have both, but love cats a little more.

Statistically, I'd say lonely women have lots of cats. :0)
Cats are considered more of a "women's pet" because of their grace and independent nature.
Dogs are more "male" because of their constant need for attention and loyalty.
At least that's what I've always been told.

well i like cats and i'm a girl but both men and women can like cats but i mostly see women
