I'm an atheist, so I'm an non-believer in any deity. The difference between a bad person and a good person is the same for people of any religion.

If you're asking what an atheist bases his morality on, again it's the same as everybody else. We just recognize that we get our morality from family, culture, nation, society, culture, neighbors, friends, instinct, and everyday experiences. Other people do to, but they like to pretend that their morality only comes from their religion.

good non believer of God = unsaved
bad non believer of God = unsaved
I don't see a difference. If you believe in God you believe in the deity of Christ.

You can be good or bad at anything.

I hope that answered your question.

Joseph Fielding Smith, who later became president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, once was quoted to have said:

"Don't any of you bad mormons think you're getting any farther than a good catholic."

I think the same principle applies to non-believers, who end up doing the work of God, they will probably end up in a higher degree of glory than even the covenant people who stray from the gospel of Christ.

What is your interpretation of "Good"?
Have you not heard or read that "your righteousness (good works) are as filthy rags (they won't get you Paradise).
"For ALL have sinned (done bad things) and fallen short of the Glory of (offended) God.
Believers do bad things as well as non-believers.
The difference is that believers have Someone who took their punishment.

I think the good non-believer goes to hell, and the bad believer goes to heaven.

I think some christians will try and insist that there are no such thing as bad believers (not a "true" christian), only bad non-believers.

All humanity has the knowledge of good and evil---right and wrong. If you follow your conscience (if it's not hardened ) you are actually following God's will. If your conscience is hardened and you follow evil, then you are a 'bad' nonbeliever.
