Will this heal itself and numbness and stiffness go away .Will a doctor say anything other than rest it?

Nerves heal but slowly. Numbness and stiffness are ususally a result of the muscle being tight and pressing on the nerve. And most Md's are undereducated in the subject.
Drinking enough water and a massage because the muscles are knotted..
