Cheese is fattening, but it has protein.

Eat both on alternating days. Also, one day instead of using lettuce, use spinach (vitamin A and iron) or romaine lettuce. Instead of the raisins, use sliced apples or berries.

Also, make sure your bread is whole grain.

if you were to use w/meal or muli-grain bread i would say that the cheese, tomato and lettuce sandwich is better!
But what you have to remember is its not so much what you eat but how much of it!
if u were to make a huge salad sandwich on w/meal bread and have a glass of water, thats not going to have very much fat in it at all.
Also as a lunch idea try a baked potato with baked beans, salt and pepper. Its got no fat in it at all, it tastes good and it fills you up.

When you say "less fattening," are you talking about possibly losing weight and staying healthy? Then watch your carbohydrates. Make your sandwich with low-carb breads (typically between 5 and 10 net carbs per slice). Watch out for high sodium amounts found in packaged meats like bologna or ham. Cheese is low-carb, too. Use it.

Depends on the bread, probably the banana and raisins on whole wheat.
But if you sub. turkey or chicken for that cheese and eat it on whole wheat with some mustard or fat-free mayo, you're doing pretty good.
Why not switch it up every other day so you don't get bored?
