Ok I realize that ive been drinking a drink from Starbucks (latte) ONCE a week since January. What do I mean ONCE is just one small sized beverage and that's all. I wonder if that's too much for my system. Im in my late teens.I'm gonna stop drinking so frequently from now on.

The problem with coffee is that it is a drug. Caffiene is a drug that gives different people different effects, for most it energizes them and 'wakes them up', but it can also give you the shakes, make you nervous, make you hungry, stunt your growth, deprive you of sleep, cause headaches. Withdrawing from it can cause migraine, crankiness, insomnia, short temper and such.

Coffee has absolutely NO nutritional value, and is really not needed in your system; people just like it and it's legal and they get a 'jump' from it.

If you don't want it, then there's no reason why you should have it. If you do want it, then consume in moderation - just like everything else.

Generally, more than 2 cups a day is considered 'excessive'.
