I gave a girl I like carnations on the 1st date which hit the spot. What about the 2nd date any ideas? Do I give flowers again or does that get old, any way to make it special?

you gave her something so you kinda set the tone for the relationship. Get her something, maybe not flowers. a little something or do something very special for her.

carnations are one thing, but get her the flowers SHE likes for the second. save the roses for valentines day (although i hate getting roses on valentines day because its TOO predictable)

NEVER gets old, its sweet and old fashioned-ly romantic...i LOVE it, and i am sure that any girl in her right mind would too!
Give her flowers until either you run out of money, or she tells you to stop!

i once had a guy that brought a dozen red roses on the first date.
every date thereafter, he always brought me a red rose. it was so sweet, and my room smelled great. it was a constant reminder that he was around and cared for me. it was very special to me and i have never forgotten it.
go for it. make it a tradition thing.
she will love it.

that would just come accross as desperate buddy. And don't make her expect a gift on every date either....or you're setting yourself up for disaster...it should be special when she gets them.
