Why are you assuming that there exist no evolutionists who agree with that?

The two concepts are not mutually exclusive unless the literal words of the Bible are to be factored in. If Genesis is literally a statement of fact then evolution cannot have been the mechanism for divergence of species.
Evolution as a possible mechanism for change has been scientifically demonstrated to be a fact. Simply look at selective breding for horses and dogs to enhance particular characteristics for evidence of the range of change that even a few generations can produce.
What cannot be proven is how it all started or whether there was a God involved. Everybody has their own point of view or theory and it is impossible to prove that any one of them is correct. I am afraid under these conditions I have to say I don't know whereas many feel that they must say they know that it was or wasn't God that did it.

Sure evolution fits with the theory of Intelligent Design as it is often defined.
The problem isnt that evolution disproves ID, just that there isn't any hard evidence for Intelligent Design. On the other hand there is a large amount of evidence for the formation of the earth having taken place 4.2-4.6 billion years ago which would give unassisted evolution plenty of time to work on it's own.

If there is an intelligent designer, evolution is not required. Since the design will be perfect. But since it is not perfect, hence the designer is not intelligent, if there is a designer at all ......
All in all, since evolution is required in everything, and you insisted there is a God .... Are you saying God is an idiot?

I am an atheist, but I'm not going to say that I know for CERTAIN that there is no God. I just don't believe there is. IF by some chance there is a God, then I do think that evolution happened upon His command.

It is possible, though unlikely. The reason why it can't be a science/go 'hand-in-hand' with evolution is that it can't be proven or observed. You can talk about Intelligent Design in church or Social Studies, but it's not a science and can never be a science; it is based on faith.

Evolution couldn't take place. It's like punching keys on a keyboard to provide a function, someone programmed it.
[Using the Big Bang as an example]
You are telling me that a pile of substances colided with other substances and created something? Even if that was the case, someone would need to have written a script that said such compounds would create something when combined. Not to mention, how did those substances come to being?
Same with genes. Not to mention no one can just decide, "Hey, I want to grow wings" and in a few decades their offspring would grow wings.

You are expecting a compromise, as if we could vote on which theory is the right one. Science isn't a democracy and Intelligent Design lacks any kind of intelligent evidence. It will never be science.

"Through God, all things are possible." There just may be more room in the evolutionist community for a person that sees evolution and God intertwined than would be room for evolutionists in a Biblical Literalism community. Which group would be open for any/all possibilities?

God created evolution. How else did predators and prey get eyes at the same time? If lions had eyes and gazelles were blind, gazelles would all get eaten. If gazelles had eyes and lions were blind, then lions would all starve. Without God designing the basic life forms, there could be no balance in nature, and without God making the life forms so they could further evolve, the balance would not last.

If nothing created a supernatural all powerful god then nothing can easily create a less powerful and natural universe, a spontaneous act which doesn't require a ruler seems a better arrangement than a Universe which is a judicial system
