I live in the US, Indiana to be exact. I have only 1 child, a son, but I do plan to have more. I would like to have an even number, be it 2 or 4 or 6, but my fiance says 4 is the most he's willing to have (unless I can change his mind!). I'm only 21, so I have plenty of time to have more kids.

The largest number of kids in a family that I personally know? Well, my grandma has 9 siblings, but that was a couple generations ago, when large families were the norm.

My mom's boss had 7 kids, the youngest being about 3, I think. Maybe 4 or 5, I don't know them that well.

My fiance's family has 4 kids, and a guy my parents know have 6 kids.

I don't personally know them, but I've seen a couple families on tv that have 12 and 16 kids.
