serpent is just another word for devil, satan, etc...
God is Almighty....
God is All Powerful....
God is the greatest Magician one have ever known........so, y can't God turn Moses' staff into a serpent.........can you stop him?

The serpent or intellect coupled with free will can make errors. It can miss the mark, sin.
Satan is the mind of man turned away from God.
