I don't believe in reincarnation, but if it were a true thing, can you explain how it would be possible to even be reincarnated without an inteligent designer making it possible?

froggypjs, yes, that is what I am saying. Anything with a begining had to be created somewhere along the line. It just didn't magically happen. Science will even tell you that.

BTW, no offense taken, so please do not be offended by my response. Thanks

I am always amazed by people spouting off about stuff that has nothing to do with the question. The question wasn't "Do you believe in Reincarnation and if not, why?" The question is "...if it were a true thing, can you explain how it would be possible to even be reincarnated without an intelligent designer making it possible?" If you can't answer the question, then don't waste the askers time with your claptrap that doesn't answer the question.

Now, to answer the question. I am a Buddhist, so I am going to answer from that perspective. Since the existance of an intelligent designer cannot be proven or disproven, Buddhists tend to stay away from that concept. The concept of reincarnation for Buddhists revolves around the concept of Karma. The word karma literally means "action." Since action always was and always will be there is no need to muddle things up with a Supreme Being. This does not mean that Buddhists don't believe in a god or goddess. To us, they are beside the point. Not quite irrellevent, but almost. (The point of Buddhism is to attain Enlightenment and we do not believe that any god(dess) is necessary for that.

With that groundwork laid, let me explain the concept of Buddhist reincarnation. It is not a soul (Buddhism doesn't allow for a soul) that transfers from body to body. It is Karma moving from body to body. Karma (which is neither good nor bad) is merely something that is increased or decreased in accordance with how you act and react in thought, emotion and action. The more negative your actions and reactions, the greater your karma that you need to work off. The more positive your actions and reactions, the more karma you work off. When your karmic "debt" is paid off, you attain enlightenment. What happens next, nobody knows. So as long as a karmic "tail" exists you have to be reborn. I know that this probably is confusing but in order to completely understand you would have to study Buddhism in depth.

Show me in the Bible where it says we are reincarnated. I find nothing in the King James Version. But then i bet shes Catholic huh? Good Luck! Oh yes! No i believe it foolishness. I have never met a reincarnated person ever. Have you? Say nothing about a deformed reincarnated person. I would say it takes a deformed mind to believe in such a thing. I believe Jesus was the Son of God and Man, and when we die we either go to Heaven or Hell, through Christ, In Christ, and with Christ as our Lord and Saviour .Christ was a man not a religion, and many people don't realize that fact.

The intelligent designer is you. Yes you . When your body dies you are still you as you are now but without a body, sometimes there is a little confusion because you might not perceive the physical universe with all your senses, but after a while you become more calm and you take decisions for example want to know how is the family and some time later you decide to have a new body a new born and you choose one and maybe you have to fight for it because someone else has chosen it too. but the one that makes the lightest decision without effort is the one that wins.

This is going to come off really rude, however it is not meant to be.

What you're saying is that the world, in order to exist, needs a taskmaster? And without it, nothing can get done?

Lots of things in nature happen without a person or being actually taking the time to be that task master. So, no...science and experience don't tell me that. I breathe and must despite not even thinking about it. Most things in life happen, they are not specifically created. They are a product of something else happening, but mostly and often times, by science and chance.
Atoms coming together and reacting. Natural laws.

Are you christian, muslim or jewish? I'm not sure, but I'd bet that you follow one of those faiths.

There are many other galaxies and solar systems. We can see them. Chart them. What if, just like in your question, what if there were life on just one of those planets. Would you have the sentient beings of that planet worship one of the Gods on this one, despite the fact, that the god wouldn't seem to be relevant to their existence at all.

If you believe in souls and spirits, then it's kinda like that soul goes into another body with a different brain so you can't remember anything, but it's still you. It's not anything magically appearing, just things moving around.

I do not believe in reincarnation, either. I am a Roman Catholic and am a firm believer in what the Church teaches. reincarnation for me is- well--- not possible! I may offend people who come from other religions, but, reincarnation isn't real in my book.

Reincarnation is a lie. It doesn't happen.

It is appointed unto men once to die, after this the judgement.
