An atheist publicly announcing that he does not believe in God in a Christian majority country like the U.S. or an atheist publicly announcing that he does not believe in God in a country with a Muslim majority like Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, or Iran?

The muslim country, no question.
Though, to be fair, that's only temporal difference.
If the atheist had announced that to christians 1000 years ago, he or she would just as surely have been murdered.
That's why I'm so thankful for the onset of individual rights and liberty.

The United States of America is a land of liberty. You have the right to speak what you like- this is referred to as freedom of speach. However, in the Middle East, there are many terrorist groups that believe in using violence to expand their faith. An atheist announcing he doesn't believe in God would more likely lead to death in the Middle East.

The athiest will find, at most, and arguement in the USA.
The vocal athiest will be denounced as an infidel in a Muslim country, and dragged out of his house and shot. Sad but true.
They do the same things to Christians and Jews.

On average, Muslims are more easily peeved by that than Christians. Of course there was that whole Spanish Inquisition; nobody expected the Spanish Inquisition.

If you mean who will die faster.....obviously the latter. Ouch...most ly likely stoned to death and set alight on fire....
This also apply for a Chirstian denouncing their beliefs in those parts...
