I always feel bad when I sin, obviously. Lately I've been thinking that it seems odd that I never take responsibility for the sin, I blame it on 666. Any ideas to easy an achy Christian heart?

i'm actually a siamese twin, so everytime i sin i blame it on my brother, which is hilarious because i have control of the vocal chords and he can't defend himself.

Your sin is your responsibility, not the devil, not your parents, friends, and not anyone else. It is all on you. You make your choices and act on them one way or another.
Obviously you have a conscience - listen to it. Doing the right thing is sometimes not quite as easy, fun, or thrilling as doing the wrong thing. But when you do the right thing you don't have to look for someone to blame - you will want the credit and your Christian heart will not be achy, it will be happy.

You aren't a Christian until you can take responsibility for your own sin. You know that the Word says that the heart of man is wicked above all things.. It's time for you to sit down take stock of your life see your sin. Recognize how it separates you from God and turn toward Him and away from the sin. That doesn't mean that you will be perfect in your walk you are living in the body of sinful flesh but your heart will be new and you will hate sin and love God...It's not the devil that makes you sin it's your heart your very being.. Time to reborn in the Spirit... Jim

The point is that when evil men do evil things they are acting like their father the devil. For he is evil from the beginning there is no truth in him when he speaks he speaks a lie. Yet the devil makes no one do anything, "Oh trust me he definitely wished he could do so." The power that he does have is an illusion of getting something for nothing, or getting some a lot better in exchange for one's own soul yet this too is a trap and a falsehood. The devil tempts men he can not make them fall, but tempts them with their own desires of their own hearts. Just as he tempted you to write this and post it as your own thoughts. He the devil is the one that is laughing at you.

The devil is not 666, the Devil is the Red Dragon and does not simply be 666

My Father the Jeremiah Groves but not entirely satanic, its just that is my father the Devil.

fellow third David Kelly666

fellow third Timm Scoucie the false prophet.

Blaming the devil is not so much selfish as irresponsible. Once you
begin to take responsibility for your actions, you will begin to make choices you can be proud of. This applies to everyone, not just Christians.

At least you are recognizing the sin. Satan is the father of all lies and evil, so in a way, it is Satan trying to take you down the wrong path. You need to pray for strength to overcome your sinful ways and to keep the temptation of Satan's evil away from you. Have a long repenting, loving talk with God and ask for help from him.

I don't know if "selfish" is the right word.

I think you're just not being honest with yourself and are just making excuses. YOU have free will. YOU decide whether to do the right thing or the wrong thing.

Use your conscience to help you make decisions. If you make the wrong choice, own up to it. If you're sorry for doing it, tell God that you're sorry. Then ask Him to help you be a better person and to make good choices.

dear ddd
devil = d-evil is d-ece-it-efull
it is veiled m, vile and must be live-d
you raise a great point ,
the devil may wuisper it in our ear BUT we choose to act on it
we ,not he did it
it is a sign of maturing in your belief you see and accept we are all easy to blame others ,i too take blame for mine own shame ,
seeing i cant die for your sins nor you for mine
breath easy know that god judges us worthy of grace
lest we compound our own sins by cast ing blame upon others
adding deceit to lie to sin ,
your repentant heart god sees and loves
dont feel blame accept credit for seeing your faith mature into truth.
god is truth, now you know
that
sorry satan didnt make us do nothing.
we chose to then escaped blame by saying someone else did ,
yeah sure
they were with god
how did they do it?

* You been watching reruns of Flip Wilson? That is one of the things I see wrong with Chritianity, no personal responsibility. Paganism teaches us to be responsible for our own actions. We have no devil to take the blame and no saviour to hide behind forgiveness. We accept full responsibility for all our actions.*
