You know what?? I was over-medicated by my doctor & the effects of all the anti-depressants were: extremely high blood sugar, high blood pressure, headaches, ulcers, & INCREASED suicidal tendancies.

Simply: anti-depressants don't EVEN need to be taken UNLESS EVERY OTHER SINGLE THING has BEEN TRIED FIRST!!! It has been TOO EASY for DOCTORS to OVER-MEDICATE patients IN THE PAST!!! We now have to STAND UP for OUR RIGHT TO DECLINE medication & EXPECT our doctors to FIND OTHER SOLUTIONS!!

At the same time, LEGISLATORS need to get a CLEAR MESSAGE from EVERYONE who has EVER been over-medicated that WE ARE NOT GOING TO PUT UP WITH it anymore. They need to pass laws to protect those who CANNOT protect themselves!! Such as people who are SO DEPRESSED that they'll do ANYTHING anybody tells them, hoping it will help them..... when in the end, it ONLY HURTS THEM!!

We also need to pass laws CONCERNING DOCTORS who OVER-MEDICATE their patients!! I CALL IT......... MEDICAL MALPRACTICE!!!!! And the LAW SHOULD TOO!!!!!

Antidepressant drugs like amitriptyline, desipramine, and nortriptyline can cause irregular heart rate, vomiting, low blood pressure, confusion, and seizures. An overdose of antidepressants also causes symptoms similar to those seen with anticholinergic drug overdoses.
