it seems like he is just being nice to me because we are now starting to talk. he asked me how i was and i told him that i go to bed late because i stay up studying. he called me a vampire, i said no, then he compares me to blade. it's a nice joke because in class that day we did blood smears or pathology. it's been a while since we talked and there were silent moments but i think he did that to break the ice...right? i think that guys are nice and they only do things to be nice. (not all but...) is he being nice or something more?

guys don't do things to be nice. simple as that. if he's talking to you, joking with you, being nice to you - he likes you. guys will do an occasional nice thing or people - but if he's doing many things. then he does like you.

It sounds like he is maybe interested in you. How long has it been since you talked? If it's just been a few days maybe he's just been busy. But if it's been a few weeks or months, I would start a conversation with him again to see if he's really interested.
