My husband is currently serving in Iraq and we have been told we may be going to several different places within a few months of him getting out. he gave me an 800# to call to check it. its 1800 fyi ----. I can't remember what the whole thing was but he said all you have to do is put you ssn in on the phone and it will tell you where you are going if your duty station is decided already. Is this true, and if it is, what is the whole phone number?

I found It, it is 1-800-fyi-epmd however when I call the number, it just rings and rings, does anyone know if the military is still using that number?

Ask your local ACS for the SITES website....that is where you will find out.... But, if he is getting out, then why are you even concerned...unless you are referring to Re-Deployment?

Shelley, Does the Army have "base swaps" the way the Navy does? You can ask your husband about that. Another option is other bases close to the border, such as Fort Lewis, WA, three hours from BC. Not as close as Ft Drum, but another option, and closer than Ft Stewart. One final option is asking your husband to contact his congressman, and requesting a congressional request to INS to expedite your green card.
