a haircut.
followed by reducing the amount you dye, treat, and style your hair. these are all factors that can cause split ends.
once the hair is split you cannot 'glue' it back up, permanently anyway. you can mask the effect of spit ends with any number of the 'remedies' posted here (ie. masks, treatments, smoothing serums etc. etc.), but once the damage is done, the damage is done.
get onto a good hair care routine before your hair has the chance to split. well, split too soon anyway. hair is dead and it will all split eventually, but you can certainly prolong the process...

Pantene's what I use, it really makes for healthy hair - I've got permed hair, and I know you hear that perms dry it out, but mine is totally soft and hydrated.
About split ends - hairstylists suggest trimming ends off every 4-6 weeks (not ever by yourself, though!)... whenever your ends get bad, you've got to have them trimmed off. You can prevent split ends, but you can't repair them. I suggest Pantene for prevention, and regular trims to get rid of split ends.
You can also prevent them by, if you straighten/curl/etc your hair with anything heated, use a styling serum on your hair first. It prevents burning the hair and breaking the strands, which can cause split ends.

Trim it every 6 weeks. Keep your ends moisturized and seal with vitamin E oil (you can get it in a hair supply store or cvs or something). If your hair is at your shoulder try to keep it up until it grows past your shoulders (if you are trying to grow it) so the ends don't brush against your clothes too much.

A good triming of those ends my dear! If you don't cut 'em...they're just gonna keep going and going! If you do choose to cut 'em then you'll be able to stop the split before your hair becomes too weak and starts to break! And THAT...you sure DON'T want cuz then you may have to cut it reeeeeeeal short!

Get a hair cut and get the dead ends cut first. The most affordable shampoo and conditioner is Treseme! It use to be in the salons! I use it and love it!!! After you have washed your hair, put the conditioner on your hair...soak your hair in it...leave the conditioner on your hair for 3 min. then rinse out!
Do not use Pantene, Thermasilk...they are very bad for your hair...ask the cosmotologists...they will confirm my statement!

Unfortunately, nothing can fix split ends... but once you've had them trimmed, using an intensive conditioner every week will help maintain healthy hair.

Take it or leave it....a raw egg and let it sit...rinse with a beer and shampoo as normal. Ask parents for permission b/4 you do this ( the beer thing). Getting your hair cut also every 6 weeks and let it dry naturally.

...you must cut split ends off...there is no real way to rebond the hair cuticle after it splits...it's best to cut them now instead of thinking you can make them seal up and have them go all the way up your head...take care...

the easiest and most cheapest way is trimming it
If you have alittle more money, seek AN OLDER Barber and ask them to burn the split ends off.
DO NOT DUE THIS YOURSELF. I KNOW SOMEONE THAT HAS NO HAIR NOW BECAUSE THEIR SISTER TRIED TO DO IT FOR THEM.
