my mom makes so much healthy desserts, shes a health freak. she makes like chocolate tofu pie but you cant tell there is tofu, it makes it smooth and decadent and its on a grahm cracker crust, she also makes pecan pie only sweetened with brown rice syrup and grain-sweetened chocolate chips (and its still sweet!) and things we just buy are rice dream and soy dream and organic icecream but you still should gorge on these things either. An organic dark chocolate bar is good for you. At least 70% dark it will provide the most benefit, bursting with antioxidants and in a test it was shown to lower blood pressure, and it also has minerals.Or desserts with cocoa or hot cocoa (has to be cocoa that is not alkalized and whipped cream with no white sugar). Just make sure the dessert does not have white sugar or artificial sweetners or shortning if its a pie. Fruit is best of course. (If you are saving your fruit meals for the end of the day instead of the beggining though then just leave in the morning because its especially beneficial in the morning, its cleansing). wow im just ramblin on arent i.

My husband and I eat sugar free desserts, so I'm always trying out new things and different combinations of things so we have a variety of treats after our dinner or as a snack.

Here is one we had today

You only need a few ingredients for this one and it is so good!

This will feed 2 or 3 if you like it double this recipe:

One box of vanilla pudding that is the COOKED TYPE NOT INSTANT
they come in two sizes I get the smaller one.
2 cups of milk whole or skim
Pour the milk in the med. cooking pot and add the pudding mix. Heat on medium heat until it starts to steam and come to a boil. you must stir constantly so it does not burn on the bottom. It does not take long. After you do this step then set aside.

In a 8"x 8" inch pan or smaller take some buttery sugar free cookies and put them in a plastic bag and take a frying pan or rolling pin and mash the bag of cookies....you will need about 2 cups or a little less. I used Murray's butter cookies with the center hole in them. Graham cracker crumbs will work too...whatever you like that is available..

Place a layer of crumbs on the bottom of the dish.
Then take your pudding and pour over the crumbs
slice 1 or 2 bananas over the pudding
use one container of cool whip on the top you can get sugar free now
Place the rest of the crumbs on top
If you have some sugar free chocolate syrup drizzle this on top also or under the cool whip.
Refrigerate until cold and serve ...

Hope you enjoy this as much as we did!

one of the best healthy deserts is fresh pineapple, it is actually very good for you and has the added benefit of curbing your appetite. just be sure to look for one that is getting a little yellow looking and has a pineapple scent when you hold the bottom to your nose, also if you don't have a pineapple handy, a good healthy desert is jello dab one teaspoon of whipped topping on top, jello has a lot of protein and is very low fat i mix one pkg of sugar free with one pkg regular have a bowl after my supper instead of cake or ice cream. if you don't like those ideas angel food cake is the least fattening of the cake groups. hope this helps!
