There's this guy I like but the thing is I'm like 4'11 and he is like 6 feet. It just sounds so weird.

No, not weird at all. Most of the guys I've dated have been taller than me by at least half a foot (the only one who wasn't ended up being the biggest loser I've ever met in my entire life). The hugs are great when he's that much taller than you =)

Well, to tell you honestly, I am a girl, I used to date a guy smaller than me. I'm 5'4, and he's just 5'2. Isn't it a bit awkward? Well, in my country, it really is. But for a guy to be taller than a girl, it's normal.
Besides, if you guys really love each other, it won't matter. (",) He likes you for who and what you are and that is all that matters.

If you genuinely like this person and your feelings are reciprocated, his height isn't important. In any case, most men are taller than their girlfriends or spouses, so you needn't be concerned about others' perception of it. A lot of girls like dating guys who are taller, including me. I have also dated shorter, but taller is better. It isn't awkward to me, but if you are feeling weird about it, it might be awkward for you.
I like a nice big burly guy, i like the feeling of feeling protected.

It's the person and their personality - not their looks or height. If you like him, just go for it. If you're worried about what others will think, just remember that the outside doesn't matter, and he's probably a really great guy. They don't make your choices - you do.
Ignore the height. You might be the perfect match; who knows??

Go for it.You like him who cares.Well make sure about every things that he treats you with respect and kindness etc. I love tall guys.My bf is about my height a little bit taller and I don't mind and he doesn't and I even wear high heels and it does not border him or me.

no, its pretty cute actually. i'm 5"2 and i like guys who are like 6". once you get right next to them, its not as big of a difference as the numbers make it seem. it is a little difference but not as much.

Oh no! It is not a big deal, AT ALL. My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost a year now, and im 5' and hes 6'2.[HES BEEN MY BEST BOYFRIEND YET] If you REALLY like this guy.. I say GIVE IT A CHANCEE. =]
