one of my best friends likes this one dude but her closest friend liked him last year is it okay for her to date him

It's ok to like people and date them. of course if they were married then thats a different story. She can always ask her other friend that liked him if she has a problem with her dating him. Providing he even likes her. I love it when people especailly girls assume some guy is going to like them and be thier boyfriend. Just because the girl likes him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he closest friend liked him first and is the type to get all wigged out over it, she might want to discuss things first with her. If the friend never dated him it isn't necessarily bad, but you don't want to cause friction either.

Is her close friend out of his life completely? Were they ever boyfriend and girlfriend? or did she just like him? If they were never together, then your close friend can like whomever she wants, if they were never together. If they were together, then your best friend should talk to her close friend about it and see how she feels about it.

She should clear it with the friend first, and if the friend is cool she would say yes. If she says no she might not be a friend worth keeping.
