i just baught a 07 Rabbit and my Bro baught the new 07 GTi, if i want to buy a megan catback exhaust on ebay and it says it fits 07 GTI, dosent say anything about the rabbit, i looked under both cars and they have the same design of the exhaust will this fit my car?

no, it won't fit. The rabbit has a 5 cylinder 2.5 liter engine.
the Gti has a 2.0 liter turbo 4 cylinder.

if you have the same engine it will work. those cars are the same platform.
its funny that you said Rabbit[golf]. did you know that it was called the golf and in the port, it changed to Rabbit. they actually removed the golf emblems and put on Rabbit emblems
